AI Channel Tracker

The goal of this site is to inform users which YouTube channels use AI in various forms. Below is a list of channels submitted by users that are known or believed to use AI in their videos—whether for script writing, voiceover/narration, art, or video creation. We also aim to indicate whether the information in their videos is factually accurate. In order to maintain an unbiased approach, we are completely funded through Ad monetization and user donations. We do not accept money from any channels to alter or remove information. A channel may be removed or updated if credible evidence is provided that the information listed is inaccurate.

All channel information is user-submitted and reviewed to the best of our ability, but we cannot guarantee accuracy. Listings reflect community reports and our opinion based on available evidence.

Criteria

Voice

We mark “Voice: Yes” when a channel uses AI-generated or AI-modified speech for narration, dialogue, or character voices. This includes text-to-speech voices, cloned or synthesized versions of a real person’s voice, and heavily AI-processed vocals that replace a human performance. Occasional use of simple filters or noise reduction does not count; the core speaking voice itself needs to be generated or fundamentally altered by AI.

Writing

We mark “Writing: Yes” when the main script, narration text, or on-screen writing appears to be produced primarily by AI tools (such as ChatGPT-style systems) rather than written by a human. Signs include generic or repetitive phrasing, identical scripts reused across multiple channels, or creators openly stating that they use AI to generate their scripts. Light use of tools for grammar checks, spell-checking, or minor rewrites does not qualify on its own.

Video

We mark “Video: Yes” when AI is used to create or significantly transform the visuals in the video. This can include AI-generated stock footage, deepfake faces, AI-driven lip-syncing, motion or background replacement, or heavy use of AI editing tools that generate scenes or shots rather than simply cutting and arranging real footage. Basic color correction, stabilization, or automatic subtitles by themselves are not enough to count as AI video.

Art

We mark “Art: Yes” when a channel uses AI-generated or AI-heavily-modified artwork as a visible part of its content. This includes thumbnails, character designs, illustrations, backgrounds, or other visual elements that are created primarily with AI image tools (such as Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, DALL·E, etc.). Light touch-ups, basic filters, or using AI only for minor cleanup do not qualify on their own; the overall artwork needs to be clearly AI-generated or substantially driven by AI.

Factual Information

We use “Factual Info” to judge whether the information a channel presents is actually true and supported by real sources, or if it relies on AI hallucinations, made-up facts, or fake stories presented as true just for clicks. Channels that regularly cite sources, match known data, and correct mistakes are treated as factually reliable. Channels that repeat obviously false claims, distort evidence, or present AI-generated fiction as real events or research are marked as unreliable, even if the rest of the video (voice, art, or editing) looks professional.

Things to Come!

Our goal is to create a toolkit of extensions and applications to combat AI, especially on YouTube. Currently we’re focused on completing this website, but our next focus will be creating browser extensions that mark channels using AI, etc. We’re currently a small team, but as we gain funding we’ll make progress and expand accordingly.
